DEFECTS OF TRANSPORTATION IN NIGERIA

In most urban cities, getting a taxi that is reliable and safe drive can be a major challenge. Being overcharged, refused to go by meters, refused to take passengers, did not know the directions, and lacked of service mind are some common scams that most of taxi passengers have long suffered (Spencer, 2014; Wiseman, 2014; Taxi Singapore, n.a.). Some cases have even escalated into forms of crime (Yaniv, 2014; Herrera, 2013; Malm, 2013).

Transportation can be classified as one of the major quality that boost a country in terms of resources, in such it can be said as a necessity because it facilitate individuals in their daily activities. For the past decades Nigerians were left in a doom and gloom in terms of transportation, the lucky ones with cars suffer from bad roads while the majority use either tricycle or trek to their final destination

Transportation is a bit difficult to the masses, it's either you have your personal car, tricycle or
use your well crafted “leg” designed by the creator which causes simple and daily activities to be more complex and harder to achieve.
Fundamentally, the research motives of the project is to help the Nigerian youth and less privileged people to explore more to the modern technology with having less access to smartphone, and also those with personal cars/tricycle will be able to earn a living with that. Moreover we are helping government officials in a way to tackle the situation of transportation which will facilitate and improve daily activities within Nigeria.

Besides, despite all the hardship the youth and masses go through, it will be a great achievement for the country as a whole competing with the western world. Consequently with a little support from government officials, it will be a dream come true for either parties.

In addition, the idea came up base on a true story which happens to be during high school studies, trekking has become a habitual action in the community. No official buses for transport, talk more of waiting an hour in the bus stand hoping for the arrival of the bus. so,the only option is either you trek to your final destination or wait for an imaginary hope.
Although is not the fact that people can’t afford the transport fare, we were just ignorant of such a technology,we only read it as a story from a book or listen to it as a music from BBC news.
Now that we can explain “the lyrics of the music”, we will give our very best to help the upcoming generation to be technologically wise and developed as a nation in a whole.
In a nutshell, the federal Government are trying their utmost best to fix the bad road and expand the existing roads for the benefits of their citizens and to boost the economy through transportation means hopefully they will be persistent in their work.

below are some image captured during the research session:

bad road that can cause fatal accident
across the cities pot holes are  found everywhere it causes several of fatal accident. usually on the highway people do not have speed limit and so and when they mistakenly hit the hole they lose balance and hit other cars.

abandon boat which can be used for useful materials
Nigeria is linked with Atlantic ocean which gave them the privileged of using it to ship product from abroad to Nigeria but lack of adequate care and facilities led them to losing hope and abandon the sea transportation.
recent development by Nigerian Federal Government.
Recently the citizens are witnessing some progress as act 2017, the government introduce the railway which facilitate a lot of situations such as less dependent on the roads which reduce the commotion and traffic jam in several area.

Lastly we are planing to pounce on the situation by creating a platform to connect everyone which will help the situation. we submitted questionnaires and waiting for users responses and so all our plans will be based on users feedback.
