SELECTION;
This refer to the area in an image that will be editted by the various tools available. A selection in Photoshop is same to a selection that you highlight in a word processing app. Once you have selected an area, you can apply a tool to it, such as paint brush, or perform an operation such as copy or crop.it can be any shape and size.The shape depends on which selection tool you are working with.
Your selection will apply only to the current layer. If that layer is empty in the region selected, you will get an error message. When this happens, go to the layers panel and select the correct layer you want to edit.

- elliptical marquee tool
- rectangular
- single row
- single column
- polygon lasso tool (it create straight sided selection)
- magnetic lasso tool (it track edges of an object)
- lasso tool (free hand tracing selection)
choose select>save selection.
selection is saved in Alpha channels
